England Huff And Puff, Cesc & Loads In

England ventured onto the World Cup stage last night and produced an emminently forgettable performance. Plenty of endeavour but few succeed without natural talent to supplement it. Perhaps Fabio Capello will  but a point will have disappointed a man who exists only to win.

Robert Green is taking the brickbats which is entirely understandable, a workmanlike USA! USA! USA! deserved their point, not least for exposing the limitations of the squad. Capello’s decision to bring on Shaun Wright-Phillips for Milner brought no ingenuity to the left, Joe Cole may well have been more incisive as he is used to that position.

Aaron Lennon showed in bursts that he can provide width but the dangerous crosses came from Johnson and Gerrard. Would Walcott have done any better? Perhaps not but I am sure he would have taken the shot on in a similar position to that which Lennon found himself in the first half, the decision to cross showed his natural winger’s instinct rather than a forward’s selfishness.

Defensively, the central pairing of Terry with King / Carragher was not uncomfortable but not authoratative either. In short, a nervy performance with few showing the class that we are reportedly told every week that they possess. It isn’t the end of the world nor was it a signal of intent. It was a typical opening game, the top of the group still beckons and that is all that matters at this stage.

Onto Arsenal. Arsene is in South Africa and told the media that They can do one:

There is nothing to say, Cesc Fabregas is Arsenal and has a contract. We are not interested at all in breaking it.

Definitive and today’s election should not change that. Laporta stays in office until the 30th of this month and no doubt will try again. His sidekicks noted on Friday that there are three parties at the negotiating table and Barcelona have not been invited. Which sums Them up rather nicely: unwelcomed gatecrashers. Still, they have not even got in the building yet so ner-ne-ner-ne-ner.

Joe Cole is apparently going to sign a contract for £135k per week which will no doubt send Fabregas’ agent into Arsene’s office for a new contract. And why not? If he is going to commit to Arsenal and publicly declare he does not want to go to Barcelona for the duration of his deal, let him have parity. Give it to van Persie as well for the same terms. But for God’s Sake not a deal where bonuses are paid up front, akin to the one Henry signed.

Apparently Wenger is trying to annoy the Spaniards by nicking Gregory van der Weil, who wants Robin van Persie to put in a good word with Wenger for him. Do it! Mind you, he did the same for van der Vaart and look where that got him.

It seems that the £30m Arsene has spent a decade building up is burning a hole in his pocket. He’s got Cole, wants van der Weil and is intent on signing Schwarzer, Jagielka, Koscielny and Peinaar. A whole new team in one summer it feels like.

  1. Gate crashers indeed. I had a sense of deja vu watching England yday. Same old same old.

  2. although I recall reading those quotes from van der wiel quite a while ago, I still think he would be a VERY VERY good signing for us. hes pretty good defensively and is much better than sagna at going forward and putting in dangerous crossing. I do like sagna, but if we did sell him, van der wiel would be a quality replacement.

  3. Fabio Confetti – Winner!
    Sod off back to Torino
Bring back Mike Bassett- a true Legend!

  4. VDW Sagna Eboue overkill, no? Jag’ll be very good. Koscielny and JD as backup, and is Nordtveit coming back? Excellent. And JD can cover up as DM as well…. Expecting a breakout season from denilson, pretty much like Alex Song 09-10. This is a good good team!

  5. When Green made his debutant mistake that gave the USA their equaliser, I remembered that some people said we should get him to replace Almunia.

I am much happier that we have Almunia in goal, people must not forget the pressure to play in goal for a top team or the national team in green case is really different than a middle table team.

Almunia may not look like the world class goalkeeper but the pressure isn’t the same than being between the sticks for west ham or birmingham and I believe Almunia has got enough talent to make the job at Arsenal.

  6. I am not too sure about van der wiel. But what do we know, we signed Sagna when we had Lauren and Eboue on our rolls.

  7. Looking at players in positions Arsene is potentially looking to reinforce, I think Onyewu (sp?) had a very good game.

  8. How can Bigbrovar be “first” at 9.31 when the blog did not hit News Now until 10.01 and did not hit my email box until 10.35? Is he Mrs Y W in disguise?

  9. Onyewu has already agreed to play the season at Milan, for nothing.

  10. C’mon Bernard, you can’t expect to depend on a newsnow email for speed. Want to be really up to date? Use twitter.

  11. That figure of contract for Cole needs precision on how it is spent, but likely to be a 80 or 90k per week a bonus per year of contract. So I don’t see why Fab should get a new contract. He’s still young… All this said, for the England game, with all due respect to Capello, the one thing that was missing is team cohesion, and sacrifice for the team. Same for France. This can’t happen if you overweight Rooney’s presence or if you put Henry and Malouda on the bench (unless this was a tactical choice based on all previous France/Uruguay encounters. Always ended in a draw, kind of suggesting an alliance between both countries to finish on top spots. Domenech is extremely tactical, and you should expect a change for next game. While Capello fielded his strongest team. (without Barry and Cole, I know, but he should have picked Walcott to bring pace as second half substitute especially considering the altitude they play at.)
finally Capello fielded a defensive setup against USA… What is he gonna do against Italy or other strong defenses?)
put Milner in the center where he can do same work as Diaby did for France, and put Gerrard on the right wing where he can cross inside and not interfere with Lampard… But that’s just my 2 €…

  12. Is it? That’s a shame. Yesterday watching the match I thought this is the guy to shore up our defence.

  13. @gunnerluck:
The Green thing was a cynical joke mate. Because it appears all the current goalkeepers of Arsenal have been chosen for their tendency to do kiddy mistakes due to lack of concentration of “don’t give a damn I’m getting paid anyway” attitude.
Lloris in comparison showed safe hands despite his first WC game.
But I still think for next Arsenal season, they need a proper GK that’s for sure and my pick would be either Hart or Mandanda.
For DC, Nordveidt seems more than adequate substitute, Song too should be considered at this role.. Diaby would do great in DM or ideally instead of Fab. And with Chamakh upfront, bringing in Gourcuff would keep the main link of Bordeaux.
So my team would be as follow:

    GK: Hart or Mandanda
    DL: Clichy
    DLC: Vermaelen
    DRC: Song
DR: Eboue (sorry for Sagna, but we need players who don’t just give the ball to the other team…)
    DM: Diaby
    AMC: Fab or Gourcuff
    AML: Nasri
    AMR: Cole
    ST: RVP
    ST: Chamakh

    subs:
GK: How about Carasso as sub? Would be cheap…
    DC/DM: Nordveidt
    DL/DR: Traore
    AMLC: Rosicky
    AMR/ST: Walcott
    AML/ST: Vela

  14. I’ve always thought Pienaar would be a strong additional to Arsenal, but doubt Everton would sell him. He’a a very decent young man, all over the park Flamini-like, much better.

  15. SomeRandomGunner

I just read that Arsenal has released almost all our central defenders , nothing on official site . Is it true?

  16. 1 2 3 vive l’algerie

  17. SRG

Apparently the EPL released a list of playrs out of contract. Since it was issued, some have signed deals with their clubs.

  18. C’mon Algeria

  19. The highlight of Algeria Vs Slovenia: A man watching the game from the top of a floodlight wearing a comedy top hat and looking very bored indeed.

  20. Should have been sent off for that haircut alone. (Sorry Zap and ZimPaul, hope Algeria go on to win it now)

  21. He did a Green

  22. england played wel but seemed to be weak in midfield, perhaps carpello should have put in carick to provide some proper defensive cover.dempsey was given too much freedom in turning and shooting.rob green with that blunder, dont see him beta than manuel.and they say tw14 has no footballing brain but imo lennon did nothing special. trugan..4rm zambia.

  23. one good cross is all lennon could give england but i can imagine the kind of ridiculing theo would have been given.through the entire game, not one good cross to hesky or crouch from lenon.apparently tw14 couldnt cross a ball to crouch in training, well at least the spud provided a couple of decent crosses.lol.

  24. Sorry Zap, but another goalkeeping error was the difference today. Maybe that ball has got something to do with it?

  25. i really hope we make a few signings,we really need 3-4 players coming in,2 cbs and a keeper are a must and i think wenger will at least sort that, chamakh already and a midfielder hopefully,i am sick of denilson anybody but him really, why not makoun?

  26. Maybe because Denilson is a rather good player that only had an injury related dip in form?

  27. gimme a break, denilson is crap and its time he was sent packing

  28. irish gooner, maybe you should apply for the manager’s job since you know more than he does.

  29. Denilson’s “crapness” doesn’t even come close to the “cluelessness” of those who can’t or won’t understand why he is exceptionally good at what he does, why his stats back that up, and why he has captained Brazil at every level except the first team.

  30. Serbia look pretty strong.

  31. Denilson is a Brazilian who does not showboat, there is no news of any drunken misadventures or has shown no love of the nightlife, surely enough for him to be called crap.
Oh by the way his interception and pass completion stats can go down the drain, besides everyone in this Arsenal team can shoot from range. Denilson really is crap … eh

  32. Actually I thought that the first 20 mins England put in the most assured performance of the tournament so far. Even when comparing with Argentina. I felt that for all their attacking prowess and potential to utterly destroy their opponents, Argentina had the look of team that could self destruct at any moment. And I’m kind of expecting them to do so against a stronger opponent.

England in those first 20 mins were surprisingly good for me. They played with a confidence, desire, and attitude that I’ve come to expect from teams like Brazil and Germany. A kind of self assured, determined, calm about them. Like the actions of their opponents was irrelevant and that they would find a way to win in the end.

Then Robert Green fumbled, and everything went pear shaped. They looked ragged, desperate, frustrated. The change in mentality was almost instant. That moment just sucked the life out of them.

The way I see it that is England’s biggest problem. It’s like this self doubt that has engrained itself in to the collective psyche of the nation. You could almost feel it sapping the confidence of everyone on the pitch, the crowd, commentators, and even the people sitting next to me.

What they should have done was to just carry on playing their own football. Calm and confident. Nothing has changed. We will still find a way to beat you. Just hold on to that sense of control and power that they are obviously capable of tapping into.

As my name suggests I’m not English and I’m not biased in this case; it’s just what I made of England’s performance. And I’m actually rooting for Holland in the tournament. But for a moment there I did think they might be capable of making a go of it this time round. Now of course it’s a bit harder. They will have to pick themselves up and regain that confidence. I hope they do. It will make for a better tournament for everyone concerned.

Anyway I’m gonna try and make use of what little sunshine there is. See ya round.

  33. The rumors of wenger having 30 million may be true but the board claim we now have the funds to compete with man shitty and chelski. How ? they spend that on one player and wenger has to get 3 with that !

We also have to take into consideration that the transfer budget is also the wage budget. So if j Cole is to join us on £135k a week on a four year deal that will bite into his money by over £20 million. So another 2 players at 4/5m each who can you get for that ? We do not need any more youngsters who may turn into world stars we need players who can hit the ground running like the Verminator last season.

So the long and short of it is that i dont see the J Cole deal happening. wenger in the past has made many comments how he has to balance the wage and transfer bill side by side. So when he offers new and improved contracts to the more senior players he dose not have the money to dip into the transfer market.

I suppose the loss of gallas, silvestre and proberly sol will help the cause as they must be on £135k between them or more. But will he smash the clubs wage structure to get him ?

I would like to see him at the club but dont see it happening.

  34. “I am finding the world cup predictably boring. Sorry.”

I agree ZP. I really hope it picks up this coming week too.

  35. Have Gallas, Mikeal and Sol really be released??

  36. @ Arsenal1971

I think you can assume that 99% of the figures you read in the newspapers about Arsenal’s spending plans are inaccurate. Not worth getting in a tizz over this.

  37. Serk Da Turk – ‘The way I see it that is England’s biggest problem. It’s like this self doubt that has ingrained itself in to the collective psyche of the nation’.

A nice assessment, and I agree it is a trait of England as a nation but it’s also part of what makes us who we are, and gives us our great self deprecating sense of humor amongst other things. Unfortunately it doesn’t help us much on a football field when our ‘goalie has made a howler. After America scored, England looked nervously ragged and it took us time to recover.

England cannot seem to retain the ball sufficiently enough to dominate matches and end up losing the ball too easily or lumping it up to the forwards. It seems an awful lot of ‘lesser’ teams have players with better technique than us and makes one wonder what we are doing wrong with regards to coaching players from an early age. Certainly in my experience, there is too much emphasis on size and power rather than touch and skill.

  38. just read big br0vars bl0g,
    utter crap

  39. Serbia were one of my dark horses for this tournament. They are very tough and will be hard to beat although I don’t see where their goals are going to come from. If they go far, it will be in the style of Greece when they won the Euro thingy!

  40. Btw. what was that with Rooney asking yesterday for a yellow card for another player? (the thing where he spread his arms out repeatedly) Isn’t that something only dirty, cheating foreigners do?

  41. Whoops, I meant Serbia!

  42. Ghana looking good. Should have scored, really.

  43. what happend t0 m0ntenegr0

  44. Ignore me, I’m confusing myself!

Ghana are playing well, but they might regret not making this pressure count. Serbia are the type to sneak it with a late goal from a set-piece.

  45. Serbia going down to 10 men might paradoxically make it harder for Ghana – Serbia will be even more cautious, but the Black Stars could still get caught on a counterattack.

  46. Nearly!

  47. Penalty!

  48. Excellent. Justice, I feel.

  49. Well deserved goal for Ghana.

  50. Gyan oculd have had a hat trick today!

  51. could!

  52. Good match. In fairness to Serbia, they really didn’t go into their shells after going a man down – even before they conceded that goal.

  53. They should have played like that before losing a man, but their caution lost them the game in the end.

  54. I always love it when the more adventurous team wins out in the end!

  55. Plus I lerve Marcel Desailly.

  56. I agree. I thought Serbia were going to sneak it after Ghana had made all the effort and taken the risk to make something happen. It was the right result in the end.

  57. I am loving Ghana, the best African team on show so far. Its as if there are 10 Michael Essiens running around in the outfield. Great commitment, desire, skill and GRIT.

  58. ghaaaaannnnaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

    Come on ….

    All together now!

  59. That’s what I’m talking about.

Keeping it real, the boys from Ghana.

  60. I found myself captivated for long periods of the match by Ghana’s No.6 – Anthony Annan. Really good player to watch; natural, efficient. Like an African Riquelme – with a bit more aggression.

  61. fml

  62. Evertime belhadj made a run down the side they tripped him up. And never got punished and they made pathetic small fouls that went unnoticed all the time.

I have a feeling algeria will come back to restore some pride either vs england, or vs usa yarab.

I dont know about the ball passenal, but it does seem odd that two goalkeeping mistakes would happen so easily. Coincidence? The ball does move around a lot but i think they were pretty awful mistakes, so the blame could be placed any were. At the end of the day we lost to F:Cking slovenia and were headed home. I just hope we can do ourselves proud in the last two games.

    1 2 3 vive l’algerie whateve happens thou!!!!

  63. Ghana’s Anthony Annan, a great DM, far better than Denilson. Arsene buy him

  64. Fuck off Howard

  65. I will be interested to see how my man Mark Schwarzer does in this group. Germany will be a tough game for the socceroos. Go Aussies.

  66. Check out the German keeper too, Bill. Manuel Neuer – he’s been linked with us almost as much as Hugo Lloris has, and Seb Frei, and Joe Hart, and old Spilly-Bob Green… oh dear.

  67. I suspect average so far is agout 1 goal/game. I know it will get every tradionalist mad but I would love to see the game make some rules changes that favor the attack and speed up the game. Any body have any thoughts or ideas or am I just crazy?

I would like to limit the time a GK can hold the ball to 5 sec. If he holds it more then that the other team gets a throw in. Teams would have to make a strategy to get the ball moving after the GK catches it.

I would also like to see some sort of rule that would not allow teams to back the box similar to the 3 second defensive rule and zone defense rules in American basketball.

Make the punishments harsher for bad tackles and obvious disruptive techniques like pulling on shirts etc.

    Any thoughts?

  68. Limpar:

We have probably been linked with 1/2 the GK in the world. I had not heard about the German. I will not be able to watch the game closely. My Texas Rangers baseball team is on TV at the same time. Let me know what you think later.

  69. You’re crazy.

  70. Whats wrong with making the GK get rid of the ball quicker?

Why not make try to limit the bad tackles and shirt pulling and other things that teams do to disrupt the flow of the game?

The other 1 is tougher but I would like to see more open play and more goals for everyone.

  71. Özil’s running the show as we thought he would. He looks a bit like Peter Lorre as well.

  72. That ball went through Schwarzer.

  73. Yep, Schwarzer is better than anyting we’ve already got…

  74. Schwarzer is not Arsenal quality.

  75. God I’m so common. Dropping my ‘h’s

  76. Well, Well, Well!
    Yesterday – Robert Green
    Today – Mark Schwarzer
Tomorrow – Which keeper in audition for Almunia’s job?

  77. Very pedestrian of you Yogs. Wat kind of establisment are you masquerading as?

Certainly not a well thought, well written blog. Tats for sure.

  78. the Oezil fella has been impressive so far. i wudnt mind having him at arsenal.

  79. Am I being a killjoy here or is anyone else a little disappointed at the horn induced atmosphere at the games. I know it’s makes it authentically African but for me It takes away the individual atmosphere of each set of fans. I was really looking forward to the Dutch fans and now i’m just expecting to hear horns. Again.

  80. Schwarzer clearly not great so far. I guess it is time to eat some humble pie.

    Germany looks great.

  81. The bongo bong flutes are annoying.
    Tats for sure.

  82. *bongo bongo

  83. Pleasant attacking football by the germans…

  84. Germany do what is expected of them. They are favourites, after all. Playing very intelligently, letting the ball run, but also a lot of variety in the play.

  85. Bill @ 7:07 pm – You are really getting on my last nerves. Football has done very well for over 150 years without the Americanization, the need to fiddle with the rules to satisfy the casual fan. Dumbing down the game doesn’t make it better. As this world cup and others have demonstrated, the cream eventually rises to the top. The really great teams and great players make mince-meat of the dour negative, defensive teams. Football has done quite well without the American culture of instant excitement manufactured by the hucksters who dominate professional sports in America.
    Damn it!

  86. Hopefully Wenger’s hanging round the ground tonight, tapping up Özil, Neuer, Podolski and Mertesacker. That should do us.

  87. Shotta-gunna knows. Just what I wanted to say but couldn’t bring myself to.

  88. Forget about Joe Cole, Arsene, and pick up Prince Poldi. He looks like RvP, he’s an excellent player, and he’s wasting his career at Koln.

  89. Hurumph.

    Stotta and Limpar.

Explain to me how making the GK get rid of the ball more quickly and discouraging bad tackling and shirt pulling etc. would “dumb down the game” How would that make any significant change in the game?

I know the answer. JUST BECAUSE IT WOULD YOU STUPID YANK.

  90. bill as a yank myself,

those rules seem a little half-baked.

  91. ozil looks like diego luna

  92. Super football by Germany.

  93. @Bill
Basically, football is fine as it is. It does not need some weird new rule changes. It just needs the refs to enforce the current rules.

  94. There’s no real malice in that. No studs are showing…

So let me get this right. A bad challenge has to be malicious to be illegal.

I’d be quite happy for that sort of challenge to be a red card if referees consistently applied that punishment. Sadly, there is no consistency in officiating.

    YW

  95. Is that about the Cahill foul? He’d already had one kick at Swinehunter before the one that got him sent off. Isn’t Cahill one of those c*nts who performs some kind of boxing combination on the corner flag whenever he scores? Get the f*cker off the pitch, I say.

  96. Easy Polo, its just a celebration.

  97. Your right, the biggest problem is inconsistant enforement of the rules.

  98. really like the look of ozil

  99. The players have such great mutual understanding, Germany look like a club team.

  100. Perhaps they’ve peaked too early? ha ha

  101. why isnt almunia in on the english national team again?

  102. Because he’s Spanish? Just a thought…

  103. He doesn’t make enough mistakes, ttm.

  104. Pz

What sort of Arsenal fan are you? He’s useless, hopeless and any other “ess” you’d like to think of.

And so are 98% of all the other goalkeepers in the game…

    YW

  105. Hope the Germans can continue to play this well. Aussies look rather clueless. Thought we might see a little more from them.

Mertsaker and Neuer would look good in an Arsenal kit.

  106. We have four good goalkeepers at Arsenal, why would we want to buy another one?

  107. 1 loose cannon

Mesut Oezi is simply quality, he could be the star of this world cup, he was linked with Arsenal on many occasions in the past but he is certainly out of our reach now as I can see clubs queuing up to throw stupid money at him.

Any country that calls football soccer should be punished and the Germans have done just that. I do feel sorry for Tim Cahill he was unjsutly sent off, everyone in the stadium must have felt shocked at that decision, its not even a yellow. lots of red cards so far, it seems the refs have been to told by FiFa to crack down on bad tackles but the refs have gone over the top with it.
The Germans have done what the germans normally do, the Socceroos just played soccer and then they will soon be in the outback having a Berbecue.

  108. Not a bad dive from Cacau the Clown. Even when you’re 4-0 up. What a pro!

  109. yep! The world cup just came to life!

  110. Cahill red card was a bit harsh, but no complaints here. Aussies are a shambles. Andy Garcia looked not bad, for a player whose never played a game before.

  111. German football is on the rise. The Bundesliga could be the best league in the world before long. I don’t expect German teams to start selling off their best players.

  112. Brazil so many good player that even germany use some of them.England could do with one of them…Denilson anyone :)

  113. I cant wait for Bentdner vs Van Persie. I need some thing in the world cup to cheer me up after today.

  114. Typical, what looks like the best game so far and I had to miss it!

  115. LOL. u sure denilson will survive english fans? He plays for arsenal remember.

Am happy for Germany and Lahm one of my favorite players

  116. silver gunner

Germans OMG lets avoid them in the next round should we get that far.

  117. The germans always seem to do well, regardless of previous performances and the question marks raised. They simply prove all doubters wrogn time and time again.

  118. 1 loose cannon

lordgunner- \Denilson has been selected for brazil first team before he just did not play so I assume it won’t happen.
Almost every country have a Brazilian. Spain had Marcus Senna, Portugal had Deco, Japan had one and many other small countries..

  119. Sorry Damien, but there was nothing harsh about Cahill’s red card. The German player was fortunate because that could have caused a serious injury. The refs at the WC have been told to clamp down on potential leg breaking tackles. Let’s hope that starts being reinforced in the PL next season as I am fed up of seeing (usually Arsenal) players’ careers being threatened by such reckless behaviour.

  120. I personally am looking forward to Brazil v North Korea. Because, obviously brazil are always fun to watch but also because north korea, whose government apparently will tell the peopel that they won the world cup and make a mock image of them lifting it, will be under so much pressure to not be completely embarrased. I think this will be a very interesting game. Cant wait…

  121. he never play so it doesn’t count as cap,so he could still taken by england in around 2 year.I doubt england will but watching Ingerland he is not the player they really need .Italy,Spain,France,Germany,Portugal,Holland have always use “foreign”f player in their national side.
The german side is full of polish player

  122. We have to be careful not to read too much into the odd performance here and there. Arsenal scout players for 2 years on average before they buy, including checking out how they behave in training and off the pitch. That’s why mistakes are rare. Having said that, Ozil looked good on the highlights, which is all I’ve seen so far.

  123. The German side is not ‘full of Polish players’. Podolski and Klose are naturalized Germans. They’ve spent the better part of their lives speaking German, living with Germans, paying German taxes – to all intents and purposes being German.

  124. If Antony Annan can be dubbed ‘the next Michael Essien’ by ITV commentators, then I’m going to dub this guy ‘the next Antony Annan’.

    http://younggunsblog.co.uk/2010/06/arsenal-making-checks-on-free-agent-osei/

  125. Bill – There have been several attempts to tinker with the rules in football, all in vain as teams found ways around them. The one I remember best is the goalkeeper not taking more than three or five steps with the ball. Teams responded by having the goalkeeper drop the ball and after kicking back and forth in the box for 30-60 seconds, then booting out after their teams were set. Football doesn’t need cheap fixes. We need to enforce existing rules and expand those that discourage legbreaking tackles.

  126. I am a football novice compared to most on this blog so I do not have the appreciation of the traditions that a lot of you have. I hear all the complaining every day about negative football and boring football and Sam Allardyce etc. etc etc. I was trying to think outside the box a bit about how to see more football like the Germans played and less like Uruguay or the France game. Far too much of that type of football and not enough of Germany.

Agree completely that the existing rules could be enforced much better then they are and that would solve much of the problem with the bad tackles.

  127. Don’t worry, Bill. What you’re saying isn’t all that outlandish. The biggest rule changes over the last couple of decades were all intended to improve the flow of the game – the biggest ones were in response to the borefest at Italia 1990.

If this World Cup bombs then the silver lining will be a bunch of new rules that make life harder for the Mourinhos. Offside rule gets liberalized further, pass-backs to GK made even more difficult etc.

Whatever happens, it’s funny to see Germany being labelled as “the entertainers”!
