Injuries, Shares & Ade With A Tad Of Hull Thrown In

International week always seems to have a negative impact on Arsenal and this time is no different. Fabianksi was due to start on Saturday but was taken ill and Northern Ireland will be eternally grateful for that as Artur Boruc played, gifting them their winner in a 3 – 2 win. The keeper is apparently well enough to play against San Marino this week though. More worryingly is the news that Robin van Persie may miss this weekend’s clash with Manchester City due to a groin or hamstring injury depending upon which source you believe.

The Dutchman is receiving treatment but has been dropped from the international squad. The news is tempered by the fact that Adebayor came through his match apparently unharmed and with a goal to boot although he might have doubled that tally had he not missed a penalty. Perhaps it is just as well he was not in Rome!

Off the pitch news really dominated yesterday. Hull finally got their ‘Gobgate Dossier’ to the FA yesterday. A weighty tome it must be as well because you will recall that a number of players saw the incident. That may raise a few eyebrows since according to the club, the only contributors to their case were Phil Brown, Brian Horton and Sean Rush, their fitness coach. So why has it taken them so long to get this document to the FA, especially since we are told that it was delayed due to international call-ups. Congratulations to Rush then for he must work with a national team as neither of the other two do.

The sale of shares by Danny Fiszman to Stan Kroenke is being seen as a precursor to a full-blown takeover. It shifts the dynamic of power in the boardroom although publically at least, the presentation is more ‘Meet the new boss, the same as the old boss’. Whether reducing his shareholding to 16.1% will have that effect remains to be seen as thankfully all parties appear to be determined that the club should continue along the route of a self-financing business model. Fiszman himself has denied that he is ‘losing interest’ in Arsenal. Well, he will be gaining a bit of that now he has £42.5m in the bank and he certainly won’t be losing out on any dividend payments either.

Not that the press care for it merely gives the tabloids the chance to dust off their Cold War rhetoric from half a century ago and dress it up as original thought. Whether it has any impact on whatever plans Alisher Usmanov has for his investment remains to be seen. The shares owned by Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith are reportedly out there to be bought. If either Kroenke or Usmanov buys the entire holding, it will be the trigger for a takeover bid, almost certainly hostile in the latter’s case. Ivan Gazidis admits that he has no idea what her intentions are as far as that is concerned so the truth will lie between the two extremes. Suggestions in this morning’s papers that she is unhappy with the share sale to Kroenke are again unsubstantiated so perhaps it is best to wait and see rather than jumping to conclusions.

Elsewhere Emmanuel Adebayor says he happy, RvP is a ‘great player’ and wins today’s prize for stating the bleedin’ obvious when asked what Arsenal have missed this season in his interview on FIFA.com:

Most of our players have been injured. We’ve missed Eduardo for several months, Tomas Rosicky for about a year, Theo Walcott for three or four months, Cesc Fabregas for almost six months and I’ve also been injured for two or three weeks.

The timescales mentioned indicate how old the interview is since he has now been out for months rather than weeks. His return could be timely since Denmark seem intent on knacking Nicklas Bendtner, the nation’s self-interest being put before the players well-being. If Blatter and Platini want any indications why clubs hate international football, there it is for them served on a plate.

’til Tomorrow.

  1. whoopi fukin doo im first aint i cool

  2. It must have been a hard job making sure everybodies stories match up before handing in the novel sorry dossier.

  3. As long as RVP is only out for Man City, then it is OK. We should get past Man City, we have a couple of players making debuts, (we relatively speaking).

    COME ON THE GUNNERS

  4. If we can’t beat Citeh…we are in big trouble..and out of the woodwork they shall ooze.. expectations are running at such a high level.

  5. It wasn’t delayed due to International call ups, it was delayed due to Brain Horton being abroad to watch an International game on Saturday. Feel free to continue with the conspiracy theories anyway, there’s a rumour in Hull that Brownie shot JFK.

  6. Good point by Goodplaya about the hopefully soon to be ended Breakdown saga: They got an extension from the FA because of the Internationals..but there are STILL (bloody) Internationals, so why today ??
As fishy as Phil Brown’s breakfast.

  7. Lambrettaman

Who’s this Brain fellow you speak of?

  8. Brown has mobbed together the whole team to say Fabregas spat at Horton, they want as many people lying together to get a pop at us. Brown made the whole story up the sore loser muppet.

Why would Fabregas come out straight away and deny it knowing that evidence could come out and show he was actually lying. I would be very very surprised if that was the case,… even then i would still rate Fabregas as a model professional and great sportsman. Spitting at the feet of a cheating, time-wasting, sore losing bunch of relegation battlers dont mean he can go round mocking our club. We need to teach these little clubs a lesson somehow, we shouldnt tolerate all these little digs at our club.

Lets attack them, file a complaint on how they have brought the game into disrepute, mocked our club, and caused media damage on our club. They should pay for teh bad publicity they have envoked on us.. then the next big headed managed will think twice b4 opening their big gob

Nice blogg by the way ! :P

  9. davebluez – :-)

ok – question answered; though quite why he had to go and watch an international game and delay everything is a bit of a mystery.
BUT I’M NOT QUESTIONING HIS INTEGRITY!
    !
Question Cesc’s integrity, and AW’s.. no problem, but Whoreton and Breakdown ~ ah! silly me, they’re English..

  10. You think they lie together in a biblical sense, chrisG ?

  11. Ponyboy

    Yep i do indeed.

Its just a bit funny at first, how the manager of Hull witnesses a spitting incident on his assistant manager, then a few days later a few more people confess to it. Then now they file a complaint I wouldnt be surprised if a few more names popped up.

The game seems like ages ago, any formal complaints made for a game, dont need weeks to submit. What sort of evidence do you seriously need to file against someone spitting come on, did they hire their own fuensic team to anaylse the tunnel and pluck grades of grass with Cescs salivre!?? Hull are very childish, we accepted defeat when they came to the Emirates, this time round you can see Browns face – he couldnt handle the manner of the defeat.

Someone needs to tell him to grow up or shut up. His smirk at half time when his team were winning showed exactly what type of person he is and his reaction after the game also.

  12. I think fabregas might have spat at the ground in disgust at the way Mr breakdown and his entourage were behaving, they then exagerated it and said he spat at them. now they have to pursue the fabricated lie or they will look silly.

At worst fabregas may have spat at the groung which is not uncommon on a football pitch anyway is it.

  13. DukeGoonem

spitting is very common on the pitch… their problem seems to be Fabregas spat at their feet that implies us saying to them… basically they are worthless.

I think the Brown aftermath is alot worse than what Fabregas has actually done- thats if he even done it!!

We should really counter them. Their behaviour during the game was alot worse than ours.

  14. Chris,

Its true, the only crime fabregas may have commited is spitting at the ground, whilst their crime is lying and deciet and trying to ruin a mans reputation.

Yes their behavious is alot worse then anything fab has done.

  15. Lambrettaman

Why was he (Horton) aborad last Wednesday when the complaint was first due in? No internationals until Saturday? Why was he out of contact if was going to an international for scounting purposes for Hull I presume? Why didn’t he compile his complaint in the week he had before the deadline? Noone can answer these questions and it all seems a little fishy now. A little like how there were lots of witnesses (To quote Paul Duffen) and now only three, one of which has already been shown to be untruthful and unrelieable (Phil Brown). Very strange. I think the angling for an apology from Paul Duffen is Hull desperately trying to save face hoping Arsenal will cave in to get it over with. Hope the truth does come out like Phil Brown says and Hull aren’t let with egg on their faces.

  16. Just googled the van Persie injury and read this on the Guardian site:

“The striker, who has been integral for Arsenal despite being sidelined for much of the season, sustained the injury during Holland’s 3-0 win over Scotland on Saturday.”

    Huh?

    Then Goal.com:

“The forward has suffered something of an interrupted season due to injury, and this fresh problem with greatly perturb Arsenal gaffer Arsene Wenger, especially as van Persie looked to be returning to form at a crucial stage of the season, and was on target in his country’s comfortable 3-0 win over Scotland in Amsterdam on Saturday.”

Do these news sites just paraphrase each other?

Both are totally inaccurate concerning RvP’s season so far – he has barely missed a game this time round. And the first one just doesn’t make any sense at all.

I guess we have to wait for AW’s interview on Thursday before we can find out what kind of state we’re in.

  17. I know its early but say if RvP and Bendtner come back mangled… i think our lineup should be:

    Almunia
    Sagna-Toure-Gallas-Clichy
    Nasri-Diaby-Denilson-Vela
    ———-Arshavin———–
    ————Ade—————

    Bench of: Fab.Eduardo.Gibbs.Djourou.Song.Ramsey.Eboue

Djourou should come in if fresher than other CBs, Eboue maybe for Sagna or RM if needed.

Ade with Arsh up top should make a tricky partnership with Arsh feeding off anything around Ade. We all know he can shoot. Song was caught out if i remember rightly by City’s pace on the break last time. Denilson must play instead.

  18. Yep. That would appear to translate as he’s been declared injured.

    Great.

Looks like I picked a bad week to give up glue.

  19. So that could be 3 down now. What great timing for this little International break.

    Friday can’t come soon enough.

  20. Although with Domenech in charge, Diaby may have been withdrawn for astrological reasons!

  21. Just as things start looking better for us, injuries hit once again. Diaby for me has been instrumental, adds a bit of quality and attacking influence from the centre which we have lacked since Cesc was injured. Diaby with one of Denilson/Song is alot better than Song and denilson together.

  22. Didn’t Cesc say he would be fit for Citeh last week?

Even if he isn’t, there are plenty left to pick an excellent 11 from.

Eboue-Denilson-Song-Arshavin looks a good midfield with the option of Nasri. Eddy and Ade upfront.

    Bloody roll on Saturday.

  23. Seriously, you lot have a right superiority complex going on. Just reread some of them post’s thorough the eyes of a neutral.

I hope Adebayor can stay fit. Him & Eduardo = The Future.

  24. Seriously, RT. Just go away.

  25. lambrettaman, you’re a joke!

I wonder who Hull is looking at in the internationals? I think the Faroe Islands have a sh!t hot striker who would leap at the chance to play championship football.

Ruisliptiger, if you’re a neutral than I’m lambrettaman!

Duke, I agree totally with you. I think it is highly likely that Cesc spit on the ground in front of wee willie horton in a manner designed to infuriate him. Evidently it worked and now the top pewter(they don’t qualify to be top brass) at hull have worked themselves into a lather about it. Much ado about nothing, I would think. It’s time they grew up and stopped acting like school boys.

  26. Ade better be ready to fill the RVP shaped hole. These injuries are bad news – quick recovery is needed – we need luck to return!

  27. Ruislip Tiger,

    Adebeyors future is AC Milan.

Eduardos future is chewing on as many mops as possible. He is Splinter and his dads name is Roland

  28. Nasri and Arshavin both needed in Midfield if Diaby, RvP and Bendtner are injured.

If Cesc returns, will only expect a sort of substitutes role i assume to break him in. Want to see Eduardo on the bench too with Ade playing up top with either Vela or Arshavin alongside him until everyone else gets back to fitness.

  29. Team for saturday….

    Almunia
    Sagna-Toure-Gallas-Clichy
    Nasri-Song-Denilson-Arsh
    ———-Eduardo———–
    ————Ade—————

    or even

    Almunia
    Sagna-Toure-Gallas-Clichy
    Song
    Theo-Nasri-Denilson-Arsh
    ———-Eduardo———–

Vela, Ade, Eboue on the bench

if Ade isn’t ready for a full game when he gets back. If he is ok he has to start.

Even without Cesc, Diaby, Nik and RVP we can still put out a pretty good team, yes the two CMs can be cack together but the attacking options are really good now

  30. Did you know that part of Eduardos pay structure is based on how many goals he scores in each game?

I’ll break it down for you.

1 Goal – He gets a brand new mop to chew on.

2 Goals – He gets a brand new mop + a french cheese selection.

3 Goals – He gets the mop, the cheese, and wenger lets him run around the Emirates main kitchen, doing whatever he fricken well likes.

However, if he plays shite he gets put in one of them plastic balls and gets kicked around the changing room

  31. Adebayor scored yet again for Togo…. i wonder why the demand him to play so much, could it be that he is actually quite good Blog Head???

Could it be that he has 8 goals this term while being injured for the most part that he is quite good?

Could it be that he scored over 30 last season because he is quite good?

You fans complain he gets paid too much etc,, when we probably keep to our wage limits better than most the big european team. He has a better record than most other Premiership strikers, hes young, athletic, strong, good in the air…. there are reasons to why he plays for the Arsenal.

If you dont like him personally fair enough. But for Wenger to reject big offers for him, says something about the lad. Anelka was shipped off straight away, his attitude sucked. Wenger will make wrong decisions on players and some players will not be good enough for us. But theres no no need to diss our own team week in week out. Constructive criticism is fair, i.e – Henry- we all use to say needs to score more headers. But to completely label a player at the beginning of their career is wrong.

Ade is alot better than Henry was at 22 anyway. So why slate him?

  32. Blog Head

    What are you on?!

  33. ChrisGOONA,

Adebeyor is a usefull striker without a doubt. He’ll always score ten to fifteen a season. The only gripe with him is the way he thinks he’s Henry, thats why people laugh at him.

He’s a legend at the lane anyway, after he nutted Bendner, he can score against us anytime he wants. (not really, i hate it when he scores against us)

  34. Blog Head

He doesn’t think hes henry, he plays completely different. Its fans that think like this think hes a cheap imitation. Wenger did not buy anyone to be Henry’s replacement or Bergkamp’s replacement etc etc.. When fans compare players of the past to now you only think about them great players achievements.. that is not a fair way to mock the current team im afraid.

That is not being a supporter.

  35. Hull deliberately missed the first deadline hoping that the FA would put an end to the matter there and then. Hull would then be able to claim that the FA was picking on the little club and every one’s against them without having to back up the spitting claim.

I mean how long does it take to get a statement from someone?

  36. chrisGOONA,

I mean mentally. He thinks he’s one of the best strikers in the world but he’s done feck all. He’s demanded getting paid almost as much as Henry when henry WAS the best player in the world. So you can why all of other teams fans, and some of your own fans, think hes a muppet. He’s one of the many players who bring it all on themselves.

  37. Why do Spud fans come on here so often?

You’re not winding me up with clever insights, you just talk bollocks and make childish statements.

  38. Marc,

    No I dont boig nose

  39. Do you think all these injuries are down to us losing the great Gary Lewin.

  40. Blog Head

sorry didnt realise u was a spud,

ok so as a spurs fan, do you think Ade is a bad player?

  41. Blog Head

Previous comment deleted & you are moderated.

    YW

  42. DukeGoonem

    Good point, always wondered that.

Did we actually get anyone else when he left, or just promoted within?

  43. Chris

    http://www.arsenal.com/first-team/coaching-staff/colin-lewin

I believe he is Gary Lewin’s cousin and has been at the club for a while.

    YW

  44. Blog Head – As the Spud’s are on the cusp of reaching the dizzying heights of top half of the table could you answer a couple of questions for me.

What position do you think the Spud’s will finish in?

Should a team that has a squad that cost almost £200 million ever be involved in a relegation battle?

When will Redknapp get the sack?

  45. Yea i knew that YW, just wondered if anyone else was brought in, because who now takes Colins former position.

  46. spuds fans come on ere coz there are no good spurs blogs out there, they might get a post every other week if they are lucky. Yogi is the dogs when it comes to keeping a good blog.

  47. Blog head…

I have another question, do you think Harry Redknobhead really is an Arsenal fan like Bentley is, and is undercover as spurs manager to basically make Spurs the laughing crop of the Premiership.

    Or

Do you think Redknobhead actually is agrieved from not being good enough to manage Arsenal so.. he is actually full of vengence to make Spurs the best London side.

By the way… it is a FACT – he was an Arsenal fan, so was Graham!!! your team just gets lower n lower n lower.. haha

  48. Chris,

No I think he’s a good striker. He’ll score 10-20 consistantly for you. He’s no where near as good as he thinks he is though. Players like him always split fans, cos one day there great, next day there shit

  49. YW is the top dog/bear

  50. Chris,

No I think he’s a good striker. He’ll score 10-20 consistantly for you. He’s no where near as good as he thinks he is though. Players like him always split fans

  51. we still probably have the best physio(trained by the master) but come on..Gary lewin takes some replacing. It is probably just a coincidence that since Lewin left… the treatment room has been quite a crowded area though….maybe.

  52. chrisGOONA,

I do worry Redknapp will leave as soon as he feels like it. His sons a yid so he might stay for a while.

Personally I can see the return of the Jol happening in a few years

  53. Ha ha.. Redcrapp has done the old undercover routine before..at southampton. could give that Mccintyre a run for his money.

  54. Redcrapp/knobhead also messed Portsmouth about. Protsmouth re-hired him after he left to Southampton to see him return and fu** them over once again for Spurs..!!…

The guy has no morales… Spurs deserve him.

  55. Ok enough on Spurs we can sit here and laugh at them all day.. but that won’t really get us anywhere. Is worth the odd laugh i admit!

I think we might be seeing one of Eduardo or Cesc making a substitutes role on saturday. Eduardo because we have players away, well all our strikers. RvP you can say is probably out. Vela should be available, Ade, and possibly bendtner. Will like to see Ade paired with Vela/Arshavin just behind and Eduardo coming off the bench if needed.

  56. Yogi – (re: Blog Head)
Thanks. Laughed out loud at the way you wrote that “…and you are moderated”.

It’s not that funny in itself, just the almost paternal way you put it. Bit like grounding a child for being naughty.

  57. Oh Yogi, I was enjoying that.

    Good blog by the way

  58. He was on yesterday, didnt know he was a yid!

  59. Always knew he was a spud. spot them a mile off..the shite jokes and the cheesy comments gave it away.

  60. Look Pb, I got moderated the other night and I didn’t even swear. It’s easy. Just post a long diatribe that you could never manage to compose again because it’s so witty, insightful and clever and…you get it lost in moderation.

    Try it sometime.

Re Gary Lewin Duke, he now warms the bench for England getting fat. What does he do all the year? Why did he want that job? I also seem to remember that we had a pretty busy physio room for several seasons before he left. Seems to have always been a problem with us. Maybe, Arsene wanted to change the way we treat our players? Didn’t our doctor leave at about the same time? If that was the case, Arsenal are not the sort of club to make a parting of the ways difficult for either party. Just a thought.

  61. Oh, by the way Pb, shouln’t Marc be out clubbing or something?

  62. Yogi went after the newspapers yesterday. Arsenal blogs are even worse. There’s one called ARSENAL SPOT. Ignore it…no interest in truth. All for sensation.

  63. This blogg and Arseblogg i think are the most down to earth bloggs.. every other blogg i have come across (well most of them) are very sensationalist and tabloid grabbing in style like the papers headlines.

Always a good read on here

  64. Does anyone know if Togo has another game wednesday ? If they do i dont think Ade will start on saturday we may see Eduardo and Ashsavin playing up front .

  65. England U-19 coach praising Gibbs. Interesting that he says they’ve played him at full back, left midfield, central midfield and behind the striker. That’s exactly Wenger’s kind of player!

  66. Ponyboy

Must be a day for the children getting ‘moderated’ – #1 son just got grounded for being rude.

    Hey ho.

    YW

  67. Hello?

  68. Damn

  69. California Gooner

ChrisGooner, I am not an Ade-hater by any stretch of the imagination. I like him and think he is a huge plus for the team when playing well. But better than Henry at 22?? First, I don’t think Ade is 22. But second, Ade will never be better than Henry. That’s just silly.

  70. Apparently, even Gallas picked up a knock as reports L’Equipe. But Gallas should be fine for tomorrow’s game.

  71. Something just occured to me about why Phil Brown was so mad after the Arsenal game. Our third goal against them at their stadium was an offside goal. If we’d not scored that goal, the end result might have been shaky since they’d put us under pressure towards the end of that game.

So maybe he thinks there’s a pattern emerging?

  72. Ole Gunner thats boll*ks.

  73. Bog Head,

Why dont you take your filth and bugger off to a yid blog…oh sorry i forgot you have to wait a week for someone to write an article, like an online ghost town them spurs blogs are.

  74. That’s the spirit Duke! They don’t like it up ‘em.

  75. Funny how bugger apparently isn’t a word to excite the moderation parameters.

  76. should it?

  77. Well I never!

Is it something to do with the root of the word?

  78. Aspiring Pheonix

This is bad guys. This one week international break feels like eternity. I wonder what would happen to me in the silly season. So cruel.

  79. Ole Gunner

I’m not sure if Phil Brown’s post-match madness was entirely down to him suspecting there’s an offside goal pattern emerging against him. I think at times like these we’d all do well to keep in mind in a few home truths, so please excuse me suddenly getting all serious and reigning in the rumour-makers, but it’s important we all recognise that, regardless of the odd controversial goal against his club, the reality is that Phil Brown is a prize plum of the highest order.

Yes. That’s right. A plum. A prize plum. Of the highest order, an order that very few plums ever reach in their fruity lifetime. Phil Brown is a massive plum.

  80. And with that in mind, he’d better slow down on those sunbed sessions otherwise he’s a prune waiting to happen.

Not only is Phil Brown a massive plum. Phil Brown is a prune waiting to happen.

  81. I’ll be glad when the internationals are over, the papers might find something else to write about other than the ongoing character assassination of our captain.

  82. “And with that in mind, he’d better slow down on those sunbed sessions otherwise he’s a prune waiting to happen. ”

Now that is a good put down Dave. hahaha

  83. I was reading and article in the Sun. (In my defence, I was in a chippy waiting for my food and they had it on the counter.) It was implying that Fiszman sold his share to Kroenke rather than Usmanov, as the board don’t like him or the direction he would take the club.

It seems that you may end up with either Fiszman or Usmanov in direct control of the club. Especially if Lady Bracewell-Smith sell her shares, which would send them through the 30% barrier triggering a formal takeover scenario.

My question is which of these two would you prefer in charge, and what are your opinions of them?

Also how do you feel about Dein and his involvement with Usmanov’s company?

  84. Prize Plum, heh, I like it Dave, I like it.

  85. P.S Can someone give the clock a kick?

  86. Mr. Bob, what is the problem with the word?

  87. No problem for me Paul my friend. I was just wondering what words trigger the moderation parameters.

I would not say bugger or f*ck, for instance, in front of my grandchildren but the latter is not allowed on this site while the former is. Both are English words.

Taliking of which. RT, bugger off.

You understand nothing of our club. If you want to learn, read back a few months on the archive site and come back when you have something informed to say.

    Davebluez. Very good.

  88. davebluez,

Off course Phil Brown is a complete and utter disgrace and a pathetic imitation of a football manager.

I however think frustration at conceding 2 late offside goals could explain, if however not justify, his anger.

  89. I really cant take this break anymore. Especially, since I missed the newcastle game as well. 3 weeks without any game. I feel so miserable.

  90. oh ok, there is a dancehall reggae song by Capleton called “buggering” a while back.

  91. Hold on a little bit more Ateeb!

  92. Was it about ‘batty boys’ Paul?

You understand that I am only guessing at the words’ meaning from what you have said before?

  93. Ateeb. All will be well by Saturday evening. Be strong.

  94. Last night on the chain gang Pb.

Speak to you in freedom on the morrow.

  95. Agreed Ole :)

Although my point was that anyone would be an angry individual if they were a prune waiting to happen.

  96. it was Mr. Bob!

  97. As a christian I shouldnt have laughed at your question but I must admit I did.

    Forgive me LORD! ha ha

  98. Frank….you around?

  99. G to da 4 to da E

    whats up bro?

  100. this should help Muppet!

  101. Hey Paul N…how are you?

  102. I’m good, at work with nothing much to do!

    Yourself

  103. Awkward silence.

  104. Anyone saw the Australian Grand Prix?

    ……………………

  105. The eleventh commandment:
Thou shalt not laugh at jokes about batty boys.

  106. I’m at work WITH so much to do….busy day today…Sorry for the delayed response Paul N :)

  107. Just wondering if anyone here has recognised its the anniversary of David Rocastle death?

    …………..RIP Rocky………

  108. Fair fucking play to that Maria. :(

    Apologies for not being aware.

    Respect. x

  109. Its kool davebluez just wanted to pay tribute to a TRUE Arsenal legend…

  110. Rightly so.

Glass raised and hat tipped in his [and your] direction.

    Cheers Rocky.x

  111. algerian-gooner

    well done maria.

    rip rocky

  112. When are we playing again….it seems like forever? I watched the New Castle game highlights about 1,763 times already….

  113. ….15.00 UK time. Home against Man City 4th April….

  114. “….15.00 UK time. Home against Man City 4th April….”

    I’m counting the days!

  115. I’m counting the hours… and minutes…

  116. ….not getting stuck into the running dog capitalist lackey f*ckwits at G20, Cb….I am…

  117. Dudu starts tonight. Good news is that he gets match practice before the weekend and has a short hop from Pyrenees to get home. Bad news is that it’s against Andorra, the filthiest and most dangerously inept national team in Europe.

I just want all these games to be done with. It’s a bit like when you’re a kid and you’re forced to share your favourite toys with toddlers or snotty kids with dirty hands. It always came back broken or chewed on.

  118. “They”, not “it”.

  119. Looks like everybody’s having fun – I’m a fool for stayin’ home and havin’ none.

Reconciled to Richard Hell then OoU ?

  120. Frank..wanted to go and see if some mayhem started, tbh – but my square friend (with the car and petrol) left without me… “I don’t want to get mixed up in any trouble, Pb” he says… as if !!

  121. Hey that’s Neil Young.

Hasn’t it changed – I thought I’d finally done it. Nothing happened and then after a few hours it changed to Panenka! Well that’s what I see.

    There’s always May 1st, no?

  122. Hehe…Straight to Hell, OoU…you are caught with the smoking gun… (yep, Neil – been burning a CD for my Spanish friend, who would no doubt prefer to listen to Enrique Inglesias; but she must be disciplined !)
Well spotted.. and a special mug on it’s way to you..
